Seeking Inspiration (within a Five-Mile Radius)

Yesterday’s announcement that the strict lockdown in Scotland will continue at least through the end of April hit me like a gut punch. While I know that I’m extremely lucky that those I love are healthy and that I have a roof over my head, work and enough food to eat, I’m sure I’m not alone in having moments when pandemic fatigue takes hold. The weariness comes and it will go again, but in the meantime, rather than complain, I thought I would instead share some photos from a recent walk around town (and, yes, it was within my mandated 5-mile radius).

Glasgow’s murals and graffiti remind me of Philly. The first photo is one of three murals of Billy Connolly, Scottish actor/comedian in Glasgow. The second is of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, a Glasgow Arts & Crafts artist, currently donning a mask. The last is street graffiti along the Clyde River.

  1. Love the photos! Thanks. So glad that you’ve got flowers. The snow is starting to melt here. You seem to have lots of lovely & interesting things to see in your 5-mile radius.
