It’s been a while since I lasted posted. January was a slog with two viral infections, each followed by a bacterial infection for me. D. too battled successive infections while being very busy at work.
Last weekend while feeling cabin fever, I suggested that we take a brief trip to the seaside for fresh air and a change of scenery.
Fortunately, we can hop on a train just a ten-minute walk from our apartment and a little more than thirty minutes later arrive in Helensburgh (pronounced Helens-borough) along the Firth of Clyde, an estuary that leads into the sea.
We grabbed a bite to eat and then walked along along the water before hopping on the train back home.
Along the way, we saw this grand old house being renovated into apartments just on the outskirts of town.
While it was just a few hour journey, the sea air and beautiful sights renewed my spirits.
Certainly, catching this full rainbow helped! I turned to D. and said we should each make a wish. Why not?
May you find beauty in the everyday and may your fondest wish come true.
Hi Suzanne, that sounds like a nice outing! I wonder what the appartments will be like in that beautiful building.
Perhaps you would like to watch the snow geese live from this link. https://www.pgc.pa.gov/InformationResources/AboutUs/ContactInformation/Southeast/MiddleCreekWildlifeManagementArea/Pages/MigrationUpdate.aspx
Hi Kathy, yes, I’d love to see inside that building. It looked like three were some great stained glass windows. Thanks for the link -that will be fun! Hope you’re well.
Glad you are feeling better and your outing sounds magical.
Thanks Julie. It was so nice to see you over Christmas. 💕
I’m happy for you that the train & the seaside are so close. Thanks for sharing your outing.
Thanks, Gloria!
I love living vicariously through your pics and stories. 😘
